The children played a game on place value yesterday. They stood five steps away from the outer circle and threw their erasers within. For example, if 2 erasers landed in the hundreds place, the children have to record '2' in the hundreds place (see last picture) in their worksheet. Then, they will write the expanded form in the last column of the worksheet. This game will reinforce the concept of place value and simple addition.
